Chandlers Steakhouse To Make Mother’s Day Donation to WCA
Local restaurant matches donations made by business partners and patrons
BOISE, Idaho – Mother’s Day has come and gone, but Chandlers Steakhouse in downtown Boise is still celebrating a successful event that raised thousands for a local charity.
Today, owners Rex and Mary Beth Chandler, will be donating $15,000, money raised on Mother’s Day to the Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA). The donations came in several forms including Idaho First Bank, Sysco, George Bobango and restaurant patrons.
An official check presentation will take place today, Tuesday May 29 at 3pm at Chandlers Restaurant, 981 West Grove Street.
“Mary Beth and I believe that it’s necessary to pay forward the good fortune we are blessed to have, and we are asking for the public’s help to ensure that we can provide the WCA with as much financial help as possible to continue its mission of helping women and children in need,” said Rex Chandler.
This is the 8th year Chandlers has committed to the WCA’s mission in helping promote safety, healing and freedom to those affected by domestic abuse and sexual assault.
“We are thrilled to see this event grow each year and we are thankful for our incredible vendors and patrons who see the importance,” said Mary Beth Chandler. “Together we are making an incredible difference for families in Idaho.”
