Outstanding Public Service – Rex Chandler
Rex Chandler, owner of Chandlers Restaurant, holds a professional and personal passion to feed the hungry and has teamed up with The Idaho Foodbank to end hunger in Idaho. In 2010 he kicked off an event called “Giving for Thanksgiving,” during which his restaurant guests were engaged in meaningful dialogue about hunger in Idaho while enjoying live music, drinks and delicious food. He has since hosted monthly events to further bring awareness to hunger related issues and raise funds. Rex is well known for his generosity and has supported other organizations such as the Women’s and Children’s Alliance, The Idaho Humane Society and the Idaho State Veterans Home.
